After five years of no significant team titles, the Argentine seems ready to close his chapter at the club that brought him to Europe when he was just thirteen years old.
Unhappy with leadership and board, he seems determined to embark on a new challenge: The Premier League? Where he most likely would reunite with his old coach and fan, Pep Guardiola; or, would it be Ligue 1? Where he could reunite with Neymar at PSG.
One things is for sure now, Messi will not stay in Barcelona unless there is an immediate change in leadership, and where players' voices are taken into account. However, even a change in leadership might be too little too late. His reunion with newly appointed coach, Ronald Koeman, seems to not have gone too well, as Messi expressed he feels 'more outside, than inside' the new coach's project.
The next 72 hours will provide a clearer picture of which crest the golden boy from Argentina (or is it Barcelona?) will defend this coming season.
